Why TradeSpace Exists

Built from being treated like nothing.

During my own apprenticeship, I was treated poorly. No support, no one to talk to, and no one who actually understood what it felt like to be starting out in a trade, carrying pressure most people never see.

So I built the thing I wish I'd had. Not just a group chat — a genuine community, real tools to help you earn more and progress faster, and honest support for the days that feel like too much.

TradeSpace exists so no apprentice has to go through what I went through, alone.

About TradeSpace

Built by an apprentice, not a company.

"Every apprentice deserves someone in their corner. That's the whole reason this exists."

TradeSpace started as a WhatsApp group four months ago, built by a painter and decorator apprentice who'd had a genuinely rough time coming up in the trade, with nowhere real to turn.

It's since grown into a full UK-wide community, a free learning platform, a paid membership with real career tools, and genuine partnerships with brands and colleges who've seen what real, honest support actually looks like.

Nothing here is corporate. Every piece of it, the tools, the content, the community itself, is built by someone who's actually lived the thing it's trying to fix.

The Real Gap

This isn't just a nice idea.

Almost half of all UK apprentices never finish. It's not because they're not capable — it's because the support isn't there.

The gap nobody's filling: other countries take this seriously. In Germany, apprentices struggling in the workplace get assigned a coach for one-to-one support. There is currently no national equivalent for apprentices across England. That's the gap TradeSpace fills.

Real Members

Don't just take our word for it.

"Having a community of other apprentices you can talk to throughout the day is something you don't realise you need until you're in. It's a safe space, not just about work."

ALFIE GARDINER — CHIPPY APPRENTICE

"TradeSpace has been exceptional for connecting with other apprentices likeminded in making a name for themselves. Having that support alongside pricing jobs and ways to get work in has been amazing. The community has everyone's back and comes together when someone's in the rough. It's more than a community, it's turning into a family."
